PW#8 Peace and quiet

I’ve always been someone who fills the quiet, whether it’s checking my phone, listening to music, thinking about what’s next or just saying something random like noticing how the weather is or asking a stupid question. But lately, I’ve started to realize how important those quiet moments are. The kind of moments where there’s pure silence , no pressure to do anything. Just being.

At first, I didn’t know what to do with silence. It felt uncomfortable, like I was wasting time. But then I realized that these still moments are where I find clarity. It’s in the quiet that I can hear my thoughts, feel present, and even solve problems I’ve been stressing about. Sometimes, it’s as simple as sitting by the window or walking my dog. Those few minutes of nothing end up feeling like everything. I think we are sometimes afraid of silence, thinking it means we’re not enough or we’re missing something ( I know thats the way I felt ). But I’ve learned to appreciate those moments. Silence doesn’t have to be awkward, you just have to let it be.
