IRJE #2- What Would Audrey Do?

 What Would Audrey Do? a book written by Pamela Clarke Keogh. It is a lifestyle guide that explores how Audrey Heburn’s timeless elegance, kindness and poise behaviour can inspire modern women. Through anecdotes and lessons from Audrey’s life, the book offers advice on fashion, relationships, grace, and self-care. It delves into her approach to challenges, personal style, and values like generosity and empathy, encouraging readers to embody her sophistication and kindness in their own lives. The book paints Audrey as more than just a Hollywood icon but a role model for living a graceful and fulfilling life.

“As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself, the other for helping others. I have learned how to live and be in the world and of the world.” (p.148)

Audrey Hepburn was a loving mother to two boys. She has inspired many women, including me. She believed nothing was impossible and you should always follow your dreams. She also believed inside beauty was more important than outside beauty, which I find truly inspiring.  In this quotation, she explains that not only is helping others important, but also helping yourself.

“Our Town” Personal Response

Our Town is a play written by Thornton Wilder that I absoluteley loved. I´ve never been so enganged on a play before. It is well written and on the movie, well acted, but right now I am talking about the book. It transmitted lots of emotions like fear, sadness, happiness, etc. I need to mention that I really felt sadness when Emily Webb says:

Mama, fourteen years have gone by. I ´m dead. You are a grandmother, Mama. I married George Gibbs, Mama. Wally is dead, too. Mama, his appendix burst on a camping trip to North Conway. We felt terrible about it – don ´  t  you remember? But, just for a moment we are all together. Mama, just for a moment we are happy. Let ´ s look at one another.

I really felt like us humans don´t actually appreciate life the way we are supposed to, we never know if we are going to wake up next day. When we say goodbye to someone, we don´t know if next day we are going to see them. We don´t appreciate everything we have and how blessed we are until we loose it, and that is not how we are supposed to live. This book really inspired me to try my best every day and take care and appreciate everything because I don´t know if tomorrow I am going to die or loose everything.

In conclusion, this play should be read by everyone so human beings can not only appreciate a good book/play and gain some knowledge but learn some lessons about life.

My response to our town (not our town, their town, but it’s called our town but its not.)(Its theirs.)

I really enjoyed the play and thought that it was interesting and I enjoyed that it showed different perspectives. It was different than most plays and stories because there is usually a beginning middle problem and end. Now, keep in mind there was definitely a beginning and a middle and also an end, but there was not really a problem that we saw the characters go through and resolve. I actually think that there was a problem that they had to solve and the supposedly “10%” of my brain that I use (its for like 2.5%) just couldn’t find it. If I look back on the play I feel like instead of having one central problem throughout the whole play, there were smaller problems and challenges faced on the important occasions. I really enjoyed the way that the stage manager told us about the town and the poele in it, but it did feel very weird knowing when and how they were going to die and what they were going to die from. It almost made me sad when meeting the characters because I knew what was going to happen and they were just stupid little people walking along the streets of their town. It feels mean to say that and it kind of is. But overall I really enjoyed the play and thought that for me at least it raised a lot of questions, mainly just little things, but there were also larger questions that lead to even more questions. For example in the end when they all die it makes you wonder what they are talking about that the living people don’t understand. Or the question of when the moon was large and bright why did everyone keep saying that it was potato weather? That is an example of an obvious question, but there are also the questions that are not as obvious as the others. One of the things that caught my attention was the stage managers use of “As the saying goes.” when he is describing when George and Emily realise that they are meant to be. What does that make us think about the stage managers opinions? And what different sorts of meanings could it have? Over all I would rate the play a 9.9/10 because if i gave it a 10/10 that would just be one whole and that is the same as just giving it a 1 and that would be mean.

What i think about Our Town

When we begun to read our town i thought it was fairly interesting, a small town with people about two different families. As the book went on i found it kind of lifeless there were only a few main events and it felt like reading fifty shades of gray or like watching paint dry, personally i like romance/action books so that was just from my own opinion. there were a few parts where it was kind of interesting like when they were on the latter looking at the moon, it was just cool and it would have been funny if the moon came and hit them. i still don’t understand what she meant by

“they don’t understand do they?

i didn’t understand that (probably because their dead). that is why i would give this book a 3.5/10 there just felt like there was no action and fair to little emotion.

Personal Response# 2 Our town

The play Our town by Thornton Wilder, is, in my opinion boring. I would rate it a solid 5/10. I thought it was really boring, specially when the stage manager talked. Half of the play is him talking about what is happening, for one thing it’s a good part in case you don’t understand the acting, but, he is really bad at explaining things and he doesn’t get to the point, he just starts saying random things like the time and stuff. It might be helpful on one side but it is also kind of unnecessary. I also found it very confusing because it it switches the times back and forward; One minute it’s 1901 and the next it’s 1913 or something. On the other hand I kind of liked it because at least there is a climax to the story that is kind of interesting. I liked that it was a play too because the book really confused me. I didn’t like that the stage manager spoke in most of the story then the characters. I found their acting a little over the top. I also didn’t like the setting because it was literally two tables and six chairs, so I also found it confusing. Overall I thought it was a boring play but I still liked it a little bit.

Personal Response to Our Town

Our Town, by Thornton Wilder, I give this book and play a 6.5 out of 10. I didn’t really like it because it’s not something I would normally read or watch, but after watching it I think its good that we read it for english because it wasn’t that bad. I think the effect of not having props or sets is that you can really focus on what they are saying, read along, and analyze what they are doing instead of having props and sets to distract. I think that the role of the stage manager is to be a narrator and really explain what they are saying and even guide the characters so that they understand what is happening. I did notice that some of the characters and especially the stage manager break the “fourth wall” quite often. I think this is because they are trying to almost pause the play and explain then continue or like they are talking right to you. Compared to the book they are obviously very similar because this book is almost like a directors script, but in the play you get to see the people and maybe you imagined them differently, and you get to hear their voices and how they act. I enjoyed the play more because of this.

What I think about Our Town

When we started to read Our Town I was curious and excited because it was different from the other things we had read. At the beginning I thought it was kind of boring because not much was happening and I was a bit confused mainly because I was still trying to figure out who the main character was supposed to be. When I finished part one I had started to like it because of the detail. However, at the beginning of the second part I got more confused on why they skipped 3 years and I was wondering about why they skipped that part. One of my favorite scenes was in the intro when Emily and Wally where heading to school and Mrs. Webb said that Emily could wear the blue dress that she had made ready for her and she said she didn’t like it because it made her look like a turkey. Also, near the end I felt it went from boring to overly crowded with all the deaths. Also, I found that they where introducing a lot of characters that they only showed once which made me confused because I couldn’t tell who was who. Overall I didn’t really like the story because I found it a bit boring and uneventful. However this is just my opinion and this is coming from a person who likes action and fantasy books. This is why I give it a 3/10.

IRJE#3 Kill Joy

Kill Joy, by Holly Jackson, is a novella of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, it is about Pip and a couple of her friends who host a fake murder mystery night. Pip is deciding what her Capstone project will be and is wanting to solve the case that happened in her town 5 years ago, where a well known girl in town is murder and everyone thinks its her boyfriend who did it. Since she is already interested in the solving cases topic, she is very excited and thinks she will be great at this game night.

 “And it had been good, right up until the end. The whole world outside this house had disappeared; it had been just Pip and her mind and a problem to solve. Exactly the way she liked it. Exactly when she was most herself. But she’d been wrong. Pip hated being wrong.” (p.113)

After she realizes that she was wrong about who killed the person in their fake case she was questioning whether she should do the “closed” case in her town for her senior project. This quotation is saying how she is becoming unconfident in her solving abilities and doesn’t like being wrong. 

IJRE #3 : The catcher in the Rye

I am currently reading a book called “The Catcher in The Rye” , and it is quite interesting. It is about a kid named Holden Caulfield, who got expelled from prep school because he failed most of his classes. The story recounts the two days after the expulsion and dissolves us in the mind of the 16 year old. He is confused and disoriented, he becomes exhausted and mentally unstable. Holden describes his fiction of being “the catcher in the rye”, that was inspired by a song he heard a little boy singing: “If a body catch a body comin’ through the rye.”

“Life is a game, boy. Life is a game that one plays according to the rules.”

“This is a people shooting hat,” I said. “I shoot people in this hat.”

The best thing, though, in that museum was that everything always stayed right where it was. Nobody’d move. . . . Nobody’d be different. The only thing that would be different would be you.

In the first quote, his teacher teaches him about the importance of playing by the rules.

in the second quote, Holden uses the hat as a mark of individuality and independence.

in the last quote, the museum gives him this vision of life that he is able to understand: it is frozen, silent, and always the same.

IRJE#3

THE book is Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. It was made by J.K. Rowling. In this part of the book Harry had been invited to got to Hogwarts which was a school for wizards and witches. It is talking about what happened in the last month in the Dursleys house.

Harry’s last month with the Dursleys wasn’t fun. True, Dudley was now so scared of Harry he wouldn’t stay in the same room, while Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon didn’t shut Harry in his cupboard, force him to do anything or shout at him-in fact they didn’t speak to him at all.

This is a funny part of the book for me because before they found out Harry was going to be a wizard they treated him like trash. This is funny because it shows just how quickly someone’s mind set can change depending on what is going on around him. Dudley was also very mean to Harry and tried to make Harry scared of him but now he won’t even be in the same room as him he is so scared of Harry.

PW#3

After the end of my regular seasons which are normally from September to June. After the regular season I play spring hockey and I tried out for a team called the Cowichan Capitals. It is a team that is connected to the BCHL. One of the coolest parts about our team was we had a team bus which I had never traveled before with my team on a bus. There were three goalies and four showcases. I only got to play two showcases because I was playing on another team. In the first showcase we got to go to Kelowna. One of the games I played I had a shutout. A shutout is when I have zero goals against. In the second showcase there were 4 games and I played two. The first game I played we lost four to three. The next game was really close but we won. The last showcase was playoffs. Although I was not playing I still went to watch because it was in Vancouver. I was on the bench opening and closing the gate for all the games. We had made it to the final and I was super exited. The team we played was undefeated the entire season. The game was really intense. It was tied three to three at the end of the game so it had to go to overtime. It was just thirty seconds in and one of the kids on my team skates the puck into the zone and he shoots it and it went right past the goalies glove and in. I was so happy because it was the first time I had come first in playoffs. We got a hat that was super cool.

IRJE #3 – The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

In the book The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas by John Boyne it talks about how the German’s and Jewish were very different and how the conflicts effected the society. The protagonist of the book is a boy named Bruno who is the son of an Schutzstaffel officer. This story was based off of the Holocaust which was in 1933. In the story, Bruno makes friends with a jewish boy named Shmuel.  One day, Bruno went exploring in the forest and saw a fence. On the other side of the fence was a camp and had many people wearing striped pyjamas. And that is when Bruno saw a boy sitting down. That is how he met Shmuel.

Bruno: We’re not supposed to be friends, you and me. We’re meant to be enemies. Did you know that (p. 54)?

This quote expresses how the jewish and Germans were not allowed to be together or friends at all! This is forbidden and when they did try to see each other they would have to be very secretive. But as the boys were young, sometimes they never understood why they couldn’t just be friends like normal 9 year old boys. Which is sad to think about because now a days we are very lucky because even thought some people did have a hard childhood, none of us had to go through what they did.

IRJE #3, The Pentacle

The DaVinci Code, written by Dan Brown, is a book that I haven’t finished yet. It is about a symbologist named Robert Langdon, who meets a cryptographer named Sophie Neveu at the Louvre museum in Paris when they are investigating a strange murder. The person who was murdered left a code and arranged his body in a particular way that meant something to Langdon and Sophie, But no one else. Them discovering and deciphering the code entangled them in a dispute between the Priory of Son and Opus Dei over a possibility of a child.

“The Pentacle – The ancients envisioned their world in two halves – masculine and feminine. Their gods and goddesses worked to keep a balance of power. Yin and Yang. When male and female were balanced, there was harmony in the world. When they were unbalanced there was chaos.”

I think this quote is special as it brings us back to the old times, even before humans really existed, when it was just the gods, envisioning and creating the world. It makes us think, and it could remind us that balance is important, and why our world was made the way it is, and how it has changed since then.

IRJE #3 – Lies

Currently I am reading Lies by Michael grant. It is the 3rd book in the series. This series about if one day all the adults just disappeared. Without adults this leaves young teenagers to take care of young children who can’t take care of themselves. In the book they organized a daycare so that they can have all of the kids who have to be taken care of (not in a scary way) have a place to be. One girl stepped up at the beginning of the FAYZ (Fallout Ally Youth Zone) to take care of the kids. However putting up with the stress of taking care of 20 or more kids along with he bulimia (where she throws up after every meal and cant control herself around food) has caused her a lot of stress. Even with people to help her she just jokes at the sound of a break.

“Maybe I’ll go check on her,” Mary said. “In my spare time.” She laughed. It was a running joke that had long since stopped being funny.

This shows that everybody needs a break and its not good to pressure yourself too much. Especially when you still need to take care of yourself.

PW#3: Volleyball is my favorite sport

Since I was a little girl, I´ve always hated sports. There was nothing that could change my mind. That was because I felt like I was not good at it but my grandfather, he always told me that: “Everyone is good at a certain sport, you just need to find yours.” Since then, I started to try everything, football, basketball, baseball, swimming, dancing, soccer, running, etc. On many of them I wasn´t that bad but I just didn´t feel like I could practice that sport because I found it boring or felt like it wasn´t for me. One day, I sat down with my family who were watching a volleyball match, and I swear that I have never been so intrigued and focused watching something about sports. I started to research about it, watch all the games I could, I went to practices and after a lot of effort, I was chosen for being one of Mexico´s national teams libero, that was one of the  best days of my life. After a year playing on that team, I got out, it was a very hard decision but I either stayed there and continued playing or left and came here to Canada.

PW#3 – How I Got Hit by a Car – Pt.2

What happened after that is hard to remember, because of my concussion. Obviously, the next thing that happened was I went to the hospital, but, after a couple hours, when I fully regained consciousness, I remembered something. I remembered laying on the ground, eyes closed, and I was crying. I remember sirens, and so many voices talking at the same time. I couldn’t stop crying, and I remember feeling like everything was bleeding, but not feeling anything at all at the same time. Someone, I’m assuming either a cop or a paramedic, was talking to me. He asked me what my name was, I think, and I said Adrien Mills. I distinctly remember him asking what my moms phone number was, and surprisingly, I remembered and told him. I could barely speak, because my jaw was broken. I didn’t know that at the time, I thought I was dreaming or something. I heard a lot of voices in the background, but couldn’t make out what they were saying. I think someone was saying it was gonna be ok, and someone else was on the phone. The last thing I remember was laying terrified, unable to move, saying “What happened? What’s going on? What’s wrong with me?” Then I can’t remember anything after that.

PW#3 – things that are special to me.

There are not many things that are special to me, but the things that are, i could never let go. My family is the first thing that I would never give up for anything. I have 2 brothers and a sister. Being the older kid, looking after younger ones gives a sense of purpose and makes a person more independent. And having an older person gives a sense of direction and person to look up to. The second thing is music. I honestly wouldn’t know what to do if i didn’t have music, i would be a completely different person. I love making music too, it is just so interesting, and it is one of the only things i would actually give 100 percent when i am doing it. Another thing is probably sports, especially football. I love the feeling of having the ball at my feet, it makes me feel free to do whatever i want and having so many of my favourite people doing it too, it helps with socialization. The last thing is travelling. I am a proud Nigerian, but i am also proud to be studying oversees. None of it would have been possible if my mom and dad didn’t work hard to get where they are today.

PW #3 – My Favourite Season

My favourite season of the year I summer. I love summer because because the weather is hot so I can be in shorts all the time, I can go to the golf course everyday and there is nothing I need to stress about. Summer is a time where I don’t need to worry about doing my homework or when I have another test. In the summer I also often get to travel everywhere around British Columbia for tournaments. It is something I look forward to the whole year. I love going on the ferry and getting to the hotel and exploring a new golf course. I also get to see my friends there sometimes. Often some of my friends are at the same tournament so we also get to spend time with them away from Victoria. Another thing I love about summer is being able to spend time with my friends. We can hangout all the time and get to see each other outside of school and do fun things together. We can go to the lake or go to a water park and more things that we wouldn’t be able to do in the winter. Finally, the last reason why I love summer is because the days are longer. I can be outside till 9pm and it still be perfectly light.

PW #3 – Places I want to travel

I have been to many hotels in Canada, and have been many times to Cuba. However those are the only two places I have ever been to. When I am older, I would love to travel, I do love to travel, but as of right now I cannot go to every place I want to go. A place I really want to go and explore is Europe. Specifically Spain, Greece, and Monaco. Those are my top three countries. I have seen so many beautiful pictures and I have heard so many beautiful things about certain parts in these countries. I really hope to go when I am older either with friends or family to share that beautiful experience.

PW #3 – Places I Want to Visit

I want to travel to many places but I also want to explore more of Canada. I would love to visit more of Europe especially Spain, Portugal, France and Greece. I want to travel to these places because I really want to see the culture the views. Some other places I want to travel to are Switzerland, Germany and Iceland because I think they are not as usual places to go and it would be a very fun experience. If I ever travel to Switzerland I would also go to Italy because there is a glacier that connects them both, that you can ski over the border, and I have wanted to go to that spot for a very long time. In Canada I want to go to P.E.I. and New Brunswick, because i think that it would be beautiful. And if I travel to Iceland I would want to see the ponies that they have in the rolling hills, and all the cool history.

PW #2 – My favourite seasons

I really enjoy all the seasons, however I do like some more than others. My top seasons right now are summer and winter. Two opposites, with different reasons. I really like summer because the air is so fresh and I am tanned and happy. Some reasons why I am happy are well because we do not have school, its not that I do not like school, it is just that I feel like I need a break once in a while, and summer is just the time! Other reasons are swimming, trees are full, flowers are blooming, there is always so many colors, I can hangout with my friends any day of the week, the summer clothes, and so much more. I truly feel so joyful in the summer, and so fresh. But summer does have to come to and end after three great long months, and then it is fall. Now I do really like fall aswell, however I am talking about my favourite seasons. Therefore after november, winter begins. I just love winter! I love the cold breeze that I can feel under all my layers of coats and sweaters. I love when the cold snow falls on my face, it is pretty refreshing. I love how it is always light out even if the sun is down and it is night. By this I mean the snow is so white and bright that it lights up the darkness a little bit. I also love that it is my birthday month! December 17th is one of the days I look forward too always. However my favourite part of winter, is Christmas! How I love Christmas. I love the music, and the lights, the joyful people, the decorations, the Christmas trees, the families coming together, winter break, Butchart Gardens, the cozyness of the warm blankets and hot chocolate, the snow and building snowmen, throwing snowballs. I love winter. Both of these seasons make me feel so happy inside and out. I again, like all the seasons, but I truly do love summer and christmas.

PW #1 – What I want to be when I am older

As of right now, I am not too sure what career I want to have when I am older. Well if you think about it “older” just means in four years. I have always wanted to be someone in the medical field. Maybe a pediatrician or a doctor. I would have to start off as an intern, and move my way up. But now I have been looking into law or buisness. Most likely I would hopefully be a doctor of some sort. I have really always wanted to help people, especially kids. The majority of them are always so sweet and so innocent . I have always thought that if I was to get a job, I would want to enjoy it. I would want to look forward to it, and not have to wake up in the mornings with no motivation to go. This is why I would want to be in the medical field, because I could look forward to helping others and hopefully making their lives easier. Including my family, I could be their personal doctor! Right now, I am still not sure what I want to be, or what I can be when I am older. Eventually I will fuigre it out, and whatever I choose, I know I will have to love doing that for me to choose it.

PW#3- Favourite Movie

My favourite movie is the “Devil Wears Prada”. This movie is about a young adult who is an intern at a very big fashion magazine “Runway”. The movie takes inspiration from Vogue because the editor of Vogue, Anna Wintour, is known to be very judemental and she would always wear Prada. Meryl Streep played Miranda who is the editor-in-chief of Runway. Andrea Sachs, who is portaryed by Anne Hathway is an intern at Runway but is not interested in fashion. She struggles to be liked by Miranda and the people around her due to her lack of knowledge when it comes to the Runway magazine. Nigel, who is one of Runways leading fashion authorities, helps Andrea and gives her a pep talk. Andrea then ends up becoming Mirandas first assistant rather than her second and gets to travel to Paris for Fashion Week, stealing that opportunity from Emily who used to be Mirandas first assistant. In the end, Andrea ends up leaving because she didnt want to become the person that manipulates her friends just to get ahead. I love this movie not only because of fashion, but also because of the meaning behind it. No matter how hard it was to get it or how many people wish they had it, you are well within youre rights to leave a job that isn’t working for you.

PW#3 Basketball Game

The basketball game that I had on monday the 21st of October. We played against the Baynation Bulls. We started off by losing and then we were winning and then for the rest of the game we continued with losing. By the end of the first half the score was 16-24 (Baynation had 24 and we had 16) at the end of the first half. in the second half we started to catch up till the point where we tied it up 28-28. From that point on we were neck and neck till they scored a three and they kept getting points putting us in their dust. later in the game when there was a minute left we knew that there was no way that we could win but we still tried. By the end of the game it was 36-48, we had lost by 12 in the end.

PW#3 Halloween

I love halloween, my favorites holidays are christmas and halloween but I think that my favorite holiday is halloween because I love to put costumes on and to go to scary houses and parties, i also love the scary movies because I like to fell like to be scared. I love to decorate my house of halloween and something that I do with my family is we try to be the first one who have the house decorate, I love to decorate my door of my room and my mom love to buy inflatable halloween decorations and she puts  some lights on the house  so when its night my house looks so pretty. I like to go out and ask for treat or trick with my friends and my brothers, I also love to give candy to the kids because I like to see what costumes they have on. On some years my mom does halloween parties so all my cousin and friends come to my house and we have so much fun seeing movies and eating candy. Something else that I love halloween it is that my birthday is in that month so I like that month or that holiday because for that reason. I like christmas a lot because I also like the presents, song and the decorations but I prefere halloween so much more.

PW #3 – Why Challengers is my Favourite Movie

After watching Challengers six times since it came out, it has become my favorite movie, and here’s why. The film moves between two time periods, giving an understanding of the characters and their relationships. 

At the center of the story is Tashi, played by Zendaya, a talented tennis player getting through the competitive world of tennis. She finds herself caught in a love triangle with her current husband, Art, and Patrick, a rival player who was once Art’s doubles partner. As the story unfolds, we see how Tashi’s drive to play tennis clashes with her emotions. The movie explains the complexities of love, rivalry, and ambition in a way that feels SOOO real.

Overall, Challengers not only shows the thrill of tennis but also dives into personal relationships and the choices we make.

My Basketball Tryout

Last week i had my tryout for the Brookes Westshore senior basketball team there was 23 people there and 15 people could make it. Me and archie were the only grade 9 there everyone else was grade 11 or 12 i was doubtful of making the team. so i went to the tryout at around 7 pm and i played horrible one of my worse games i would usually play much better however on that day i played horrible. I went home doubtful and prayed to of made it the next day i walked into the cafeteria  and saw my name on the list of people that had made it i was so happy and proud of my self me and archie had both made the team.

My 15th birthday trip

A quinceañerais is a significant celebration in many Latin American cultures. Traditionally, it involves a party with family and friends and is a day to celebrate growing up, responsibility, and the future ahead.While some people choose the classic celebration of a party, there is also the option to go on a trip of your choosing For my birthday, I have chosen to celebrate my quinceañera by travelling to Italy! When visiting Italy, although I’m not fully decided, I believe I want to visit Rome and Venice. In Rome, I would love to explore its ancient landmarks, especially the Colosseum and the Roman Forum because they are both such beautiful landmarks with a lot of history to them which excites me as Roman history is something I’m passionate about. Something else I would like to do in Rome is visiting and tossing a coin into the Trevi Fountain, as it has always been a dream of mine to see it in person and I love the fountain’s architecture and its beautiful design. And lastly try traditional Roman dishes such as cacio e pepe carbonara, and also fresh pizza. In Venice, I hope to take a gondola ride through the canals, and visit sites like St. Mark’s Basilica because it is such a beautiful monument. Overall One of the most exciting parts of my trip will be my family as I have invited many of my family members, such as my aunts and cousins, Sharing this experience with my loved ones means so much to me as I’ll get to create so many unforgettable memories together with them as I explore Italy’s culture and history.I look forward to enjoying meals together, discussing our trip, and simply being together as we celebrate an important milestone in my life. Having my family by my side will make the experience even more meaningful and special and I cannot wait.

PW#3 Why I am excited for Christmas

Reasons why I am exited for Christmas. I am really excited for Christmas, it is my favourite holiday. I really want to snow this Christmas because I like playing in the snow with my brother. I really excited to put up my Christmas tree and hang the stockings by the fireplace. I really the like the way the Christmas tree looks in the living room  with all the lights. I am also excited to listen to Christmas music while me and my family decorate the house. I want it to be cold outside but warm inside. I am really excited for the break because there is no school and I get to wake up as late as I want. I am also excited because I get get to go to Mexico to spend Christmas with my grandparents, and spend new year’s at Puerto Vallarta with all my cousins on my dad’s side. I really like watching the snow from my window. I am also excited for the presents. I really hope this Christmas is the best.
