I believe that most of the times, when people are supposed to write about someone, they usually write about their mom, I have done that a million times and every mom deserves it but, also dads, so I am going to write about mine. My dad, his name is David. He was born on January 22nd of 1972. He is the man that I admire the most in the world, he is the most hard-working, kind-hearted, honest, funny, intelligent, dedicated, patient, charismatic person ever (there´s a million other words to describe him). He has always been there for me when I needed it, he always wakes up at 6:00 am to leave my brother at school so later, he´ll go for work. He stays at work more than he is supposed to, making every cent he can so my mom, my brother, him and I can live in comfort and not worry about tomorrow. He is the one that goes to the stores with me and my mom, carries the bags and waits for us outside of the dressing room without saying a word of complaint. When I don´t understand something, he explains it to me. He even makes me laugh when I am about to cry but, most importantly, he loves me with all his heart and I know that I can always count on him no matter the situation. I counldn´t have asked for a better dad, I am so so so grateful for having him on my life and having the priviledge of being his daughter. So, yes, he might be just another human on this world but, I can say that my world would be destroyed without him.

PW#7 Why I’m exited because of the ski trip
I really wanted to go on the ski trip. I wanted to go with my friends and have a new and good experience skiing! Not only that, but I would like to go to many ski slopes. For some friends, it will be their first time skiing or snowboarding, but I prefer to ski rather than snowboard. I have been gone like 10 times to ski in winter. I’m really excited to go.
PW#7- The Eddie & Backdoor shootout
Over the break, I visited Hawaii. To start the trip off, we went to a big surf competition called “The Eddie”. This competition only happens if the waves are above 40 feet. The competition is to honour Eddie Aikau, who was a lifeguard and surfer. We had to climb a tree to watch this due to tens of thousands of people being there. This event is held at Waimea Bay, which is known for having massive waves. Landon McNamara ended up winning which was cool to watch. I got to see all of my favourite surfers except for Kelly Slater who backed out due to the waves being so big. The competition lasted all day and we ended up watching almost the entire thing. We had to wake up early (around 5 am) so we could make sure we would get a spot. We had to walk 30 mins because the roads were closed. A few days later a surf competition “Da hui Backdoor Shootout” was happening which is much more low-key than The Eddie. This Competition happens at Pipeline which is my favourite beach. I got to meet all of my favourite surfers such as Moana Jones Wong, Landon Mcnamara, Bethany Hamilton, Koa Rothman, and Jamie Obrien. I was especially excited to meet Bethany Hamilton because I’ve been looking up to her since I was 6. Koa Rothman ended up winning the competition. Overall, this was such a cool experience and I was so lucky to meet them.
PW#7
2 summers ago I went to New York. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had while traveling. I would say the best part of the entire trip was walking around and seeing all the places. We also went to see the statue of liberty which was really fun because we got to go on a boat and get really close to it. It smelled really bad because of the sewers so it was really annoying going close to them. When we were walking around we saw a story that had some really cool souvenirs so we got some. We got a mug and some key chains for some of my family. We also went to see a show that was a live broad way act on The Lion King. It was really cool because I have never seen anything like it before. We also went to New York square and the was so many people which was very interesting to see all the people. There was also some people who were singing in the middle and it was fun to see all the people gathering around them. New York was so big so it was kind of hard to try and get back to the train station because we were staying in New Jersey. We also got to go on a bus which took us all around New York so we got to see all the best buildings in New York. We also saw the arena where the New York Rangers play. But we only saw it from the outside because we were not allowed to go in.
pw #7 – Fiona
I have a dog her name is Fiona, she’s 9 weeks old and we got her for Christmas but she was so small she had to go back to her mommy for 2 more weeks before we got her. she’s a bull mastiff and is so small that she sneaks under people or sneaks outside and eats stuff between the garden boxes and runs away when you try to pick her up and take her back inside. she’s kinda stupid but also stupidly smart being 9 weeks old and pees outside and knows where she sleeps in her cage without biting the crap out of me. besides the biting and the peeing and the constant need for someone to be next to her she’s a sweet heart she loves our cat and meeting people and is obsessed with being outside. she’s sweet when it comes to people wants to be everywhere all over everyone whenever she can and is nicer to people she’s just met instead of biting them like she does to me. the dog is teeny tiny and has so much energy but at the end of the day its worth having her at the house even if she pees on the floor all the time
PW#7 – The First Time I Went to Italy
The first time I went to Italy I went for 3 weeks, and I had a lot of fun. It wasn’t just my family who went, we also went with my grandma. Since we weren’t just visiting 1 place, we were driving all around Italy, we had to rent an old-style VolksWagen van. It really was quite comical, especially because it was a manual, like most cars in Europe. So, my dad was not only driving a manual, which he doesn’t usually do as our car is automatic, but he’s also driving an 8-person massive van, on Italian roads and European traffic, and some places we stayed, we had to drive up or down really steep turns and stuff, so sometimes my dad had to do the drive forward, then reverse, then drive forward again. We went to a small town on the top of a mountain in Florence, we went to a city in Tuscany, we went to Milan, then a more central city in Florence, Venice, Napoli, and then we went to my favourite place in the whole trip: A house in the middle of nowhere in Tuscany, it might not sound good, but the AirBnB we had had wild fruit plants near, it had a ping-pong table, a pool, and dogs we could play around with. And we weren’t exactly in the middle of nowhere, but we were 15 minutes away from the nearest town. It was so hot especially while we were at the house, and there nothing like sitting in a pool in the backyard of a house in the middle of nowhere in the valley of Tuscany, while watching the Tuscan sunset. We finished it off in Rome, and we took a very scenic photo in front of the Colosseum on our last night, then I flied home.
PW #7 – Basketball
I have barely played basketball over winter break and I really missed it. Practices are starting back up again and I am very rusty and out of shape. Im very excited to start playing again with my club team and school team. Basketball is my #1 passion and I love playing. I had my first practice back with the school team yesterday and today we are already playing a game against a school called Victor Brodeur which is a french school. We lost to them last time but today we are very motivated and i’m sure we will win. Another thing that I really missed was travelling to Vancouver basically every weekend with my club team. We always participate in tournaments and club games across the province and its aways very competitive and fun. We improve every game as a team and it’s the best feeling to win games against some of the other best teams in BC. I’m so glad I get to hooping again.
PW 7 – Christmas
This december, my family and I went to Nigeria. It is a Family tradition to go back and visit family at least once a year, regardless of where you are. This year, we went back to a place my family used to live, Bonny Island. I like traveling out, but going to Nigeria is a very long and stressful journey. From Victoria, we have to go to Vancouver airport by Ferry, then back to kitimat, B.C. . I stayed there for 2 days before we went back to the vancouver airport. THen there are 2 flights to land in Nigeria, and one in nigeria to get closer to our stop. It takes over 2 days to get to nigeria from where I live, and an extra day to get to our destination in Nigeria. So in total 3 days. It’s the second time i’ve made this trip and we plan on doing it again next christmas.
PW #6 – What I Want My Life to Be 10 Years From Now
In 10 years from now, I’ll be 24 years old.
By that time I hope I would’ve finished my undergrad degree for medical school, and would now be in medical school fully. I imagine myself waking up everyday, and feeling excited for what’s ahead about something I’m extremely passionate about.
I hope by this time that I will be living, and studying in California, and that I will still have my friends that I love and that feel like family to me!
By 24, I hope I have made a life for myself that feels like a good balance of hard work and happiness. I’d be confident in myself, and proud of how far I’ve come. As much as 10 years is a lot of time from now, I know that the journey will take hard work and dedication. But, I believe that it’ll be worth it to make a life that’s everything I’ve ever dreamed of.
PW# 7 My winter break
My winter break was good. I got a new PS5 a few days before winter break and it had NBA 2k 25 on it, so I played that for the majority of the break. I did go to the mall sometimes with my dad and brother to go shopping and to eat. Friday and Saturday I had a basketball tournament. I think we did good, but not great. We won most of the games and only lost three, but we didn’t go to the finals though, but we lost is the quarter finals. I feel like we could have done better but we just couldn’t beat the last team we faced. After The tournament I got to go on a trip to Vancouver to visit my grandparents and cousins. We got to go shopping, bowling, and we played football against each other in the field and it was really fun. My grandparents also gave me a lot of money for Christmas and right now I’m saving it to get something I really want in the future. When we got back, I did some more shopping and basketball with my friends. I did get to watch the new movie gladiator two with my friend Billy and it was the best movie I had ever seen. On Christmas day we got to go to a restaurant and for Christmas I got new shoes, a headset, and some basketball cards. After Christmas I just played some more video games and play basketball with my friends. There was just nothing else to do because I had already done everything I wanted to do during the last week of the break. So, I played more basketball and video games with my friends and before long the last week was over, and the break ended. That is how my winter break went this year.
PW #7 Maya and her cookies
Maya has a bag of mini oreos and she crumbled them all into dust so that she could eat them with a spoon. Then she started talking to someone from her glasses and she was YELLING. I mean she was SOOOO loud I don’t think she can hear AT ALL! Then Ms Campbell cam in and because maya was holding her oreos and talking to someone with her glasses Ms Campbell asked her if she was talking to the cookies. It took her like 45679894000 tries to hang up and say goodbye. Then she turned her head to the side and said “Ok, Bye Brandon!” But she said that to Mr Tom. And now she keeps calling the oreos hot.
PW #7 – Hawaii (reversed)
Recently, I did not go to Hawaii. It was really fun not being in the sun. When I didn’t go to Hawaii I did not stay at a very fancy hotel. We did not go on a walk every day. On each non-existent hike, we ended up at a non-existent beach. We never saw a ton of lizards and geckos. We also never went swimming multiple times each day. Neither in the pool in our non-existent hotel or on the non-existent beach. One of my favourite things that we didn’t do on the beach was to swim far out with snorkeling gear that we didn’t have and a non-existent floaty. When we didn’t swim out we would not go and swim over coral reefs and look at sea life. My least favourite part of the non-existent trip was when my non-existent brother pushed me into a pool that did not exist. Overall I really liked my non-existent trip to Hawaii.
PW #7 – The Best Day of My Life pt. 2
After the first hole I was in a great mood and very excited. The second hole was a par 4 so I hit driver off the tee. I hit a good drive which led me to a shorter shot in and a 2 putt of par. The third hole was very similar to the second as it was a short par 4 which i made par on. Hole 4 was the first par 3 of the day and it was 145 yards so I decided to hit my 7 iron and I stuck it to about 5 feet which I was really happy with. When I got to the green I realized that it was a harder putt then I originally thought and it was a huge slider. I narrowly lipped out but still made par so I forgot about it had moved to the next hole. The next hole was a long par four. I hit my drive and drew it a little too much and was just under the tree line to the left. For my second shot I was not able to hit an iron because it would hit the tree branch so I had to hit a punch shot with my 5 iron. Once I did that I had a shirt wedge shot In which I hit to 10 feet but 2 putted. This resulted in a bogey so I was back to even par. The next hole was a par five. I hit a great tee shot down the fairway which then proceeded me to hit my 5 wood next. I was able to reach the green in 2 which I was very happy with. When I got to the green I was just green side and had a little chip. I chipped it to around 5 feet which I wasn’t to happy about because I knew I could get it closer but I ended up 2 putting for par so I wasn’t to mad. The next hole was also a par five. I hit a great drive and great 5 wood which led me to have a short wedge in. I hit my wedge shot to a couple feet and made the putt for birdie so I was now 1 under. The next hole was a par four and I hit a great drive down the fairway and ended up having a wedge in. I again hit my shot to around 6 feet and made the putt for another birdie. Now for the ninth hole. It was a longer par 3 so I decided to hit my 4 hybrid. I hit an ok shot on the green and it led me to having around a 40 footer. Thankfully I was able to 2 putt for par. So I was 2 under going into the back nine.
Back Nine continuation is PW #8….
PW#6: Verde, Blanco y Rojo… That´s Mexico
Mexico, a country known for a lot of stuff, it could be because of the incredibly colurful streets and markets it has, the amazing food and variety of flavors it offers, its diverse flora and fauna, more than a 1000 touristic places to visit, a huge narcotraffic market, a long story of how mexicans became independant, a mix of cultures and languages or that it has a really bad government but, let me tell you, as a mexican, I´m still trying to figure out how to describe my country and that is because throughout my life, I´ve experienced, heard and seen so many things that I don´t know if they make me hate or love Mexico. Let me start by saying that child traffic is something pretty common there so no kids can walk or play alone anywhere. I´ve heard devastating news of other women who were walking alone on the street and got killed, it is impossible for a woman or girl to walk alone on the street without being harrased. I have hated every single day of school because most of the mexicans are extremely rude (I am not generalizing but when talking with most of the mexicans here we agree on that because all of us have at least had a bad experience at school) so yes… that side of Mexico that I really really hate. On the other side, my family leaves there and I love them so so so much, they are the reason I can stand Mexico. I also LOVE the food, it has a mix of different flavors that makes it unique and special. Mexico´s history is incredibly surprising and I believe it formed the way of being of most of us. The places it has for tourists makes me question if the world is actually real because it is so impressive to see how beautiful everything is. To end this personal writing, I also want to add that at the end of the day, Mexico is my home, I´ve lived there for a pretty long time and I am not trying to say it is a bad place. I´m just giving some points of view of why I don´t know what to think about it.
PW #6 – My trip to Mexico
My family and I went on a trip to Mexico over winter break. We left Victoria on the first of January. The resort we stayed at was made up of 5 different hotels. It had a very beautiful seawalk that was a little over 2 kilometers long. Over the whole trip, the weather was on our side. It was very sunny and warm, but there wasn’t a burning heatwave. One time as I was walking to the beach, I saw a very large iguana! I was always active and doing fun activities like playing volleyball, surfing, go karting and even parasailing! I went swimming a lot with my little sister in the ocean and in the pools, we also played a card game called “Love to Hate”. The days flew by really fast and before we knew it we were already packing to fly back. I am very thankful to my family for a trip full of amazing memories and this was the best way to start the new year.
PW# 7 End of World
I’ve always been really liked end-of-the-world movies. There’s something about them that grabs my attention and doesn’t let go. I remember when my parents first introduced “2012” to me, I’m pretty sure I was ten and I just loved it! Maybe it’s the intensity of the situation, or how the movies always seem to show humanity’s resilience. Either way, I couldn’t seem to get enough of them.
One reason I love these films is because they make me think about what really matters. In most of these movies, characters are forced to face life-or-death situations, and it makes me wonder: what would I do if the world was ending? Currently I would say my top favorites are “A quite play 1,2”, “Greenland”, “I am Legend”, “The Fifth Wave” , and still “2012”.
End of the world movies also give me a burst of excitement. The action, the suspense, the feeling of what’s going to happen next? For me those kinds of movies are the kind where when I sit down I cant rest, I always need to be alert. There’s always a twist or unexpected turn, and I love trying to guess what will happen next.
I think I also enjoy the emotional parts in these films. Yeah, there’s tons of chaos and things going on, but a lot of these movies focus on relationships and how people deal with fear, and unexpected situations. I like seeing how the characters work together, and, in some cases, even find hope in the darkest moments.
After doing so research, I found out that “I am Legend 2” is coming out soon! Its just a to bad that it took them 18 years to make it. There is also a movie coming out made about coronavirus, which I found very interesting, and I am interested in what it is about. Overall I really like end-of-world movies, and would love recommendations.
PW 5# Trip to Vancouver.
It was the second week of winter break and I haven’t really done much but play video games and basketball with my friends. After I had my basketball practice in the morning me and my brother got picked up by my mom and she told us that we were going to Vancouver to visit our grandparents and cousins. It was going to be a two day trip one day at our grandparents and one at our cousins. When we got off the ferry we went to our grandparents house. once we got there at around 6:00 we said hi and spent the night there. The next morning I woke up early because we were going to Tsawwassen mils for a few hours. We left and when we got there we did some shopping and got some presents for our dad for Christmas. Then we went back to our grandparents house and ate dinner. Then at around 7:00 we left oto go to our cousins house. When we got there we said hi to our cousins and two of my cousins who live in Ottawa came to visit and they only come and visit very once a year so it was really nice to see them and ask them how have they been doing. After we said hi we watched a movie downstairs. Then we went to bed. After we woke up we watched some TV and a hour later we left for a long walk to the grocery store to get some snacks. When we got back two more of our cousins came and then we went bowling with them. After we went to go play football at the track field. Then we had dinner together and played some video games. Then me and my brother said bye and we left then we went home. That was how my trip to Vancouver went.
PW # 5 – The Power of a place pt 2
Some memories are just memories, some are on video or through texts or letters or drawings, but most of my memories were luckly caught on video when I was with my grandparents. My grandpa always had a camera in hand, so he caugh my first smile, my first steps, and I think my first laugh. I’m not too sure about my first word. I am so thankful he videoed these memories though, because now I can go watch them (if I have a CD player). Like my aunts house, my grandparents house was a very important place in my childhood. However whatever house it was, it was more the people that made the memories. However, my grandparents live on the 4th floor of an apartment in Los Olivos, Sancti Spiritus, Cuba. They had a balcony where my grandma would hang clothes to dry, and a kitchen with a window leading out to all the garages, they had two dogs who I loved very much, they had a kitchen table and above that table on the wall was one of those clocks that would have birds pop out. I remember my garndpa and I would always go into this gate beside our garage leading to the forest where there were chickens. I also remember my grandma would always take me to this candy store that was in a plaza. And at night my grandparents would always take out the dogs before going to sleep and I would usually go with them, and the gate to the appartments had a hole which the dogs would run through before we even got a chance to open the gate. There was this big tree specifically, it was a mango tree and it had benches all around it and I would just sit and wait to go back upstairs. One time we were waiting for the dogs and it was so dark, but there were these fireflies, and I got to catch some. Then we let them go, but it’s the memories that count. I have so many memories and pictures and videos that sometimes I remember I have them and I just look at them and remember. I am really happy that I have them so that I don’t forget.
PW #4 – The power of a place
In your life you make so many memories. Some are with you friends, or your family. And those memories are made in a place. Like a beach, a house, a school, etc. One of the places that I made really good memories in was Cuba. Specifically my gradparents house, and my aunts house. My grandparents house is in Sancti Spiritus, it is around the middle of Cuba. And my aunts house is in Havana, which is the capital. My aunt has a big house with a pool and a poolhouse, she has the ocean in her backyard, seperated by a short concrete fence. I have so many memories of running up and down 3 flights of stairs while playing hide and seek. I remember when I was little my cousin and I would play by the pool and me and my aunt would then go into the ocean and she made me wear shoes which I didn’t like, but she made me because there was rocks in the ocean. And one day I took them off and cut my foot. I then went to the pool house with cousins and I was so upset because she said I couldn’t run around until my cut healed. So instead of running around the house everyday. We would go sit on a white hanging chair every night for a week or so, and there frogs in her back yard that we would just watch. I remember watching them jump along the short concrete fence hoping they wouldn’t fall in the water. I have so many lovely memories of my aunts house, and my grandparents. But that’s for another personal writing.
Pw#6
It is December 27th as I’m writing this so it’s like the day after I wrote the last one and OH MY GOD!!!!!!! It took WAY longer to clean the pantry than I thought it would. Instead of it being the casual 2 hours it turned into 4! But, anyways…. We went to go see the movie with my neighbors but we met up with my mom’s sister first for dinner. My mom started to remind me to eat quickly because we were going to see the movie and we didn’t want to be late. yeah, so I was thinking that we had like another hour almost and the theater was right there so it wouldn’t take that long. What do you know!? There truly is a first time for everything because I WAS RIGHT!!!! We literally got there like 40 minutes before the movie started and we just had to wait until the other people arrived. One the others got there we got popcorn and grabbed seats and stuff, but then our neighbor Sue (who I was sitting next to) asked if I could move over 1 seat so that she could sit with her husband Gary. I obviously said yes and didn’t think that it would be a problem. Until the movie actually started. Before I switched seats Gary had said that I could share popcorn with Sue. But now I was sitting one seat over no longer next to Sue and I had the popcorn but I didn’t know what to do with it. I wasn’t sure if it was supposed to be Sue’s popcorn that she could share with Gary, or if I was supposed to share it with my aunt who was sitting next to me. Now, this was a long movie. It was 2 hours and 40 minutes, so the entire time that I am watching the movie I just don’t know what to do with the popcorn because Gary hasn’t asked for it back, but my aunt hasn’t taken any either. I didn’t want to be rude by eating someone else’s popcorn, but I also didn’t want to be rude by not eating the popcorn if the neighbors had paid for it. So for literally the whole movie I just sat there thinking about the popcorn and what to do about it while every one in a while taking a small bite incase I was supposed to eat it. In the end I barely ate any popcorn and left the theatre as quickly as possible to avoid any conversation that could possibly occur about the popcorn. Now I know that if I ever see a movie with them again I should probably sit next to my parents incase of emergencies such as this one.
PW #5
I am writing this on boxing day (because i forgot to write this when it was due) and I just don’t understand adults. Like, what is up with them? My parents have been super busy lately and it’s been a challenging couple of weeks for us all with it being the final weeks for my mom to all of her orders done for her job in sales, and my dad being really stressed about the caffe not doing well and not being sure that we can keep it open (we couldn’t). Also we are supposed to be going to Hawaii on New Years Eve, and until December 24th I didn’t have a passport and we had no idea if it would come or not. So everyone has been rushing around doing last minute gift shopping and my dad and I have done 2 days of really hard work clearing out the caffe, and we had my moms sister over and a Christmas party at our neighbors (which we had to make a lot of food for). And now it is finally boxing day where we have a chance to do nothing all day and just relax and read books or watch a movie (we are going to watch a movie with the neighbors in the evening) but NO! Let’s spend the one day we can relax by not relaxing and cleaning the whole house instead. I don’t know what is wrong with them. But anyways I have to go clean out the pantry for 2 hours now, so see you in the New Year!

Christmas holiday
I am so exited for this Christmas holiday this year i am staying in Vitoria for Christmas break and i will be seeing my family and friends a lot. I enjoy that we are staying here because i like to relax and not feel to rushed traveling around the world it is also nice to experience the cold weather and hopefully it snows. My plans for Christmas day and Christmas eve is to go to my grandmas house on Christmas day for breakfast and dinner and for Christmas eve it is going to be at my house i am so exited for all of it. I cant wait to see all my family there will be 15 of us together its going to be great.
PW#6
For Christmas I will not be doing a lot. But we will be going to Vancouver. I will be going to Vancouver because most of my family lives there. We are going there because we have always celebrated Christmas there. While we are in Vancouver we are going to be doing a hockey camp. It is just a small camp because it is just to fine tune everything and so I do not go cold over the winter. When we are in Vancouver we are just going to mostly go places with my family. One of the best parts of being in Vancouver is it is a lot bigger so we can go to more places. Also because most of my family lives there I do not get to see them very often so during these events it is nice to catch up with everyone. I am also really exited to go to see all my cousins because I have not seen them since the summer. I am also going to go to the food places which are way better then the places in Victoria. I would say the best part of the trip is going to be spending time with my family.
PW #6 – future secret garden
If I ever had my own secret garden it would have so many fun things. When you first walk in it would have a straight pathway to a middle circle with a large and very artistic water fountain with colourful flowers around it. Then after the middle there would be a couple paths going in other directions. The first one to the left would take you down a small winding path to a pond where you would cross on tile stepping stones, and the path there will be surrounded by big and tall bushes of flowers that are very colourful. Then after the stepping stones across the pond, is a little porch with a roof and a swing bench to sit in and read outside. On the path straight from the middle points in will be an arch of flowers that are pink and blue and green. Through that arch is a small little cabin with a Mediterranean/beach house design inside. The cabin is in a big field with flowers and trees and tall grass, perfect for picnics. lastly the path on the right goes through a stone path with ancient looking pillars, and a look out to a my future house. After you go through this path you end at the pool with pool chairs connected to my future house. The whole garden is divided by large and beautiful flowers and plants. This is what my future house and garden will be like.
PW # 6 – Sketchy park
One afternoon, a couple years ago, i was hanging out with some friends, and we were on a relaxed walk. We were walking by a little park that someone had put together. It was just a tree and a rope attached to a plank of wood at the end. At first sight, it looked very sketchy, and when we got closer to examine it, it was even worse than we thought. The plank was mouldy and inhabited by termites and different insects. The rope was intensely frayed, and the tree branch had certain cracks in it that made it look like it would snap any moment from then. But being the kids we were we that time, we still decided to give it a go.
I went on it, carefully, took a couple swings and hopped off. My first friend went on it, swung a little bit, then heard some unsteady cracks and jumped off. Then my last friend got on, it stayed pretty steady throughout, just a couple cracks. But when he tried to jump off, his motion was cut short with the rotten rope snapping, along with the tree branch, and he came tumbling down. He rolled his ankle pretty badly, but he wasn’t that injured. We laughed it off as we walked away, but his limp and 60% laugh said it all.
PW#6 – How I Got Hit by a Car Pt.4
Once in the ward, I think I slept. It’s been a while since the incident so my memory is a little foggy, but I’m pretty sure the first thing I did was sleep. When I woke up a couple hours later, maybe around 7 or 8, a nurse came and checked my vitals, which are like my blood pressure and if my IV’s were in correctly or not, and how I’m feeling in general. After that, I learned what happened, I had gotten hit by a car. “You were struck by an oncoming vehicle while riding your bike” is what I think the exact words were. She then told me that the only major thing i suffered from was a broken jaw (I think it was like a fractured mandible and something else). I needed to use the washroom, and I told the nurse this, and she helped me stand up, which I had to do very carefully as I had bruises all over my body and everything, including my head, hurt. I grabbed my IV and fluids tower, and slowly walked to the washroom. This was the only time I really had a struggle and it made me feel worse than I already did. The bathroom was probably about 2 or 3 metres away from my bed, and when I first started walking (I denied help) I almost fell. But I made it without any real changes for the worse, aside from my previously asleep, sore muscles waking up and causing pain. But after I finished using the washroom, I started feeling nauseous. I rested my elbows on the sink and my head in my hands. I looked and the mirror, and saw myself, and had a thought that I would never be back to normal, that’s also when I realized I had bitten a hole completely through my tongue. I probably sat resting on the sink for about 5 mins, and when I was feeling better, I opened the door, and walked slowly (the nurse helping me this time) back to my bed. There was a little food and some drink on my bed, and I slowly drank, and tried to eat a little bit, but I couldn’t really as my jaw was broken and there was a clean hole through my tongue. I just sort of sat there for a couple hours, until I went to sleep for the night.
PW #6 – The Best Day of My Life
September 29th, 2024 was the best day of my life because it was the day I shot 69. In golf, its always everyones dream to shot under par and it is a big deal when you do. Less than 1% of golfers are able to shoot under par. But I finally did it. it was a random Sunday in September and I had a golf tournament. These were smaller 1 day tournament’s that happened with junior golf Victoria. This tournament was at Uplands Golf Cub which is a private nice club. I went to my home course range to warm up first by hitting balls then we drove to Uplands so I could putt and chip there. When we got there I unloaded my bag and headed to the check in table to check in for the day. When I was there I saw some of my best friends teeing off so I watched them till they were done. Then I decided to go to the range there as well. Even though i have already warmed up at my home course I still wanted to hit only a few balls there. Once I did that I proceeded to the putting green. I took out my putter and 2 golf balls and tried to get a grasp for the speed of the greens because that is one of the most important things to do before your round. Once it was time, I put my putter away, picked up my bag and walked to the tee. When I got there I saw the three girls in my group and Bob, the guy who runs all of the tournaments. The first hole was a par 5 and i got there in 2 but narrowly lipped out for eagle. But i still made birdie. This was a great start to already a great round.
To be continued……
PW#6 The Red Door
Once upon a time there was a door that was red, and it looked like a door. The door had a doorknob on it. When you would go to open the door there would be a loud horn that basically broke your ear drums. After the door was open you could go look inside but all you would see is darkness, and a set of stairs that led downward. On the side of the wall there was a sign that said walk down if you dare. The person who walked down the stairs was a middle-aged man who was looking for a bathroom, so he had seen the door. After that. The man had seen the door he opened it broke his ear drums, then tripped on the very first stair making him tumble down the stair for about 1 minute. After he got to the bottom, he was now not only having to go to the bathroom he also felt dizzy like if he was drunk, after he got up or at least he tried to get, but that failed and ended up with him wetting his pants/hitting his head on the wall knocking himself out. Some time went by, and the man woke up to find himself propped up against the the red door with his head bleeding and he was confused on for he got out of that ugly dingy old hall, then he realized that he was bleeding out and would soon die.
pw #6
My best friends name is Savana, she’s soo pretty and has the coolest style, me and Savana met through her boyfriend when I moved school and we started talking a whole bunch, we finally hungout after so many cancels because I was scared to meet her but we ended up clicking and hanging out with each other all the time and being a third child to her family, it was one of those friendships that come into your life when you need them most and this one is one i’m definitely grateful for because she doesn’t judge me and is like a mini me and doesn’t put me last, we hangout every Friday and normally sleep over at her house and wonder around lang, its a really good way to end the week and to not go home and get out a little bit and its a way to not feel like everything is falling apart and everyone is against you but I will forever be grateful that I have a friend like Savana who kinda just shoved her way into my life and is now one of the most important parts of my life and one I cant forget
PW #5 – My Favorite Runway Show
One of the most recent runway shows I watched was the VETEMENTS Spring/Summer 2025 collection. The whole show was a mix of streetwear and high fashion, with models like Stella Maxwell, Barbara Palvin, and Anok Yai, each bringing their own energy and style to the runway. Stella Maxwell walked in a deconstructed lace dress, which showed VETEMENTS’ ability to combine streetwear with high-fashion. The collection featured oversized pieces, unexpected fabric combinations, which created contrast between luxury and streetwear.
The show was not just about the clothes, but about the attitude the models had and their self-expression. It was so fun to watch, and it showcased how fashion can be both bold and elegant, making a statement.
