I do not think that there are universal moral values because I don’t think there are any situations where everyone agrees about what is good and what is bad. I think that this is because of how everyone has different cultures and religions with different points of view on the things that are good and bad. One example is that if there was a person who killed many other people would it be ok to kill them or not. This example is one where I definitely think that there is no universal morals to this because everyone has their own opinions and beliefs.

Also, I think you can talk about the different perspectives that murdering has, and how it is judged. Like try to talk more deeply. For example, why the US think a person can receive a death penalty when they kill someone else, and why other countries don’t think the same?
I think that what you are saying is correct, it is interesting to think about the death penalty and how a government can decide when to take a life based on what a person did.
I feel the same way and I think that it probably depends on what the situation is and how many people were effected.
This is a very good question and I feel like different countries have different opinions and laws about something like the death penalty because of different religions and beliefs as well as how they have been effected before.
Do you think that everyone would agree that life, equality, and justice are good things?
I think that in most cases everyone would agree that life, equality, and justice are all good things except for if they had personally been effected in a negative way or were treated unfairly.
I agree with what you said. I like how you brought up the topic of if someone killed a lot of people, would it still be okay to kill them even though they did something bad? this is a hard question because yes, the person did murder other people, but the government is also killing that person, yet they say that killing is bad. you had a lot of good examples and arguments.
Thanks
I find that the question about if someone kills other people is it ok for them to be killed hard to answer because I am not fully sure how I feel about it but I think it would depend on the situation.
I think that it is odd that we as a society believe that it is ok to murder a murderer because it is doing the victim’s family justice. However, I still think that even if a serial killer who has killed many people gets murdered, it is wrong. I think it is wrong because no human deserves the death penalty. so how do we know when something becomes so out of hand that it is ok to murder them? and does that relate to the topic of abortion in a way, as some people believe abortion is murder.
I totally agree with what you are saying and also feel like I am not sure what situations it is ok in and what situations it is not ok in. Overall I don’t think it is right that we do this as a society but it sometimes just depends on the situation.
I agree that each people has different perspective by their culture and religion.
