PR – Romeo and Juliet

After watching the movie Romeo and Juliet I can’t help but feel a mixture of intense emotions. The story of these two lovers caught in a conflict they can’t control always makes me think about whether unconditional love can really exist and based on that we must face the consequences of our decisions. What struck me the most was how quickly they fell in love and how quickly it ended. For me this symbolizes how fragile life can be, especially when impulses and emotions take control of us. In my interpretation, the relationship between Romeo and Juliet was so intense and passionate that it made me think that there are times when love can be stronger than common sense. Although it was surprising to see how they gave everything to each other, I was even more surprised by how reckless their love was. They fell in love almost immediately and in their search for an impossible happiness they didn’t think about the consequences of their actions. The issue with their families is also something that made me think a lot, the Capulets and the Montagues were caught in a fight without sense and they are the ones who marked the destiny of the young lovers from the beginning. Old family disagreements not only prevented Romeo and Juliet from being together but this was also the reason for their end. This made me think and reflect on how inherited conflicts can ruin lives and condemn someone to suffering. I know that they were not to blame for the problems that occurred before them but at the same time they end up paying the price for something they do not directly understand. This story made me think about the vulnerability of our decisions and how quickly everything can change. Sometimes what seems to be an impulsive act or a random choice can change the course of our life for better or worse. In the end, the lovers’ tragedy reminds me how fragile life is and how emotions, when not controlled, can have devastating consequences.
