Logical Fallacy

There are many logical fallacies that people make when they communicate. From those, I am going to explain about the logical fallacy called “appeal to emotion”. This logical fallacy is usually used for manipulating by an emotion, not by valid argument.

For example, if a student says to a teacher that, “Please give me a good grade – my parents will be furious if you don’t!” , this would be the case of “appeal to emotion” logical fallacy. The student is trying to manipulate the teacher’s emotional response by using emotion.

This method is logical because it does not have any apparent evidence. When one is reasoning, one needs to be rational and not emotional.
