We have been reading poetries in English class. My favourite poetry was Not Waving but Drowning by Stevie Smith. There are several reasons why I like this poetry. This one is really short and easy to read. There are some vocabularies that I did not know. For example, larking and chap. Later I found out what they mean, and it was easier to understand. This poetry is about a dude who liked to joke around. Then he was drowning and his friends thought he was joking around again and thought he was waving instead. When I was reading this poem, I could imagine a guy drowning and friends thinking that he is joking around.

Da ye good job short post but it gives shows us your thoughts and your input about the poem although you can’t say “this poem is about a dude who liked joking around” other than that its fine
Da Ye, there is no such word as “poetries”. You can say “poetry”, or “poems”, but never “poetries”.
